Drew's blog post

ITs have near infinite power but I don’t expect most to care about this. Instead I think there’s great potential for getting things done by working with other unions.

Also, some unions are inhuman abominations that only exist to snuff out protests as an extention of the capitalists and I saw Drew mention AFL-CIO which GTUC lists as their partner here https://gtuc.ge/. Are we sure they’re alright?

What’s wrong with GTUC? I can’t read Georgian but I looked it up here:

And saw no obvious red flags.

They smear union leaders, lie to members. Their hired gang assaulted union members (me being one of them) and they then lied about us being the criminals, yada yada.

All it takes to call yourself a “union” is to do something for the employer worth paying you a slice of the employees’ salary for.

I can’t find any (English-language) resources about this online. I’m sorry to hear about your experiences – that sounds awful – but I’m not convinced that there’s enough evidence to distrust AFL-CIO via guilt-by-association.

You’d have to scroll through ლაბორ • LABOR | Tbilisi till 26th of December. They could be listing them for no reason I suppose.
